Our Vision

At Ingoldisthorpe Primary School we have thought carefully and worked with our pupils, staff and governors to create a shared vision that reflects vision.  We came together September 2018 to explore and write our vision.  With the help of our local incumbent we chose the following bible passage to root our vision in biblical teachings:

The Parables of the Prodigal Son

32  ”Celebrate and be glad… he was lost and is found.” Luke 15:11-32

From this we worked together, prayed together and reflected together on why we are a distinctly Christian and what we aim to achieve.

The vision we created together:

We are a family school where everyone matters. At the heart of our vision is a strong, positive influence on the high quality of staff and pupil relationships and well-being. Pupils are valued as individuals and thrive in their personal development. Our school’s link with the local church and parish is very strong and pupils and parents acknowledge this partnership as a distinctive feature of the school.

The Church at the Heart of our School

The church is at the heart of our school. We actively promote family and inclusion. The church and the school are both physically and spiritually linked and as such the church and school play a large part in the lives of each other. Revd Capron leads many Collective Worship  assemblies in school, as well as leading the address at our traditional church services - Christmas, Harvest, Remembrance, Easter and Leaver's Services.  Parents are invited to attend these services which are advertised on our calendar on the home page. A fascinating history of our church, with stunning photos can be read here.
